For Zingaro, every show, every evening is only the stage of a long journey. Eclipse shows the traveled path. A new approach, dancers. A new constraint, only black and white: the shade and the light. A new musical meeting especially, the melodies of the shinawi and the " bloody ways " of the pansori singing, the transfusion in the team, the ancestral internal strength of the country of quiet morning, Korea.

Bartabas takes us on Victor Segalen's tracks. Between landscapes and calligraphy, suggested China shows itself then the frame of a very intimate journey. For the first time, Bartabas gives a show onto a theater stage: between tulles and kakemonos, shadows and lights, the scenic space metamorphoses. The reality is not comprehensible any more but entr' perceived.

Chamane (Shaman) is the second movie realized by Bartabas, taken out on March 6th, 1996. Escaped from the Gulag on Yakut horses, Dimitri, formerly violinist in Moscow, and an old Shaman run away in the taiga. Before dying, the Shaman reveals to his companion that spirits surround him, and that they will accompany him in the adventures and the meetings towards these unlimitedness where no man can survive only. With english subtitles.

Having hammered the earth of its equestrian Theater Zingaro, during more than a quarter of century, now Bartabas attacks the sky. And that he intends to feast there even more by putting the pug-nosed person in escape and the living dead on horseback. Get ready to enter a dance of the cheerfully macabre soul, unwound under your eyes as much as over your heads. A double furious carnival led to the sound of the drum of chinchineros, Mexican brass bands and barrel organs. With again and again the horse, the safest animal psychopompe which is as boatman, courier, a messenger and a guardian angel.
