Just the once will not hurt, Bartabas explores the notion of freedom and has fun with all the dangers. For this creation been born in 2006, the founder of the equestrian theater Zingaro was inspired by the universe of the Gypsies of Central Europe. The artist and the director gathered his best riders and 45 horses. The set is supported by two groups of Rumanian musicians: a brass band of brass instruments native of Moldavia and a set with ropes of Transylvania.

Mazeppa is the history of a passion. The exclusive passion which attaches two men to horses. The one runs out wanting to paint them in movement, it is Théodore Géricault, famous artist of the XIXth century. Other one is proud of dominating them completely, it is Franconi, the rider who manages an itinerant troop of riders and who we call "master". What gathers these two men, it is the will of master to teach Géricault what is really a horse, it is the appetite which Géricault has to learn. A movie beautiful as a fireworks which celebrates the union crowned of the man and the horse.

Having hammered the earth of its equestrian Theater Zingaro, during more than a quarter of century, now Bartabas attacks the sky. And that he intends to feast there even more by putting the pug-nosed person in escape and the living dead on horseback. Get ready to enter a dance of the cheerfully macabre soul, unwound under your eyes as much as over your heads. A double furious carnival led to the sound of the drum of chinchineros, Mexican brass bands and barrel organs. With again and again the horse, the safest animal psychopompe which is as boatman, courier, a messenger and a guardian angel.

With Loungta, les chevaux de vent (wind horses), Bartabas invites us to discover a spiritual Tibet, transfigured as always by the magic of his art. The tiltle "Loungta, les chevaux de vent" the title designates banners of veils with syllables and sacred phrases recited by monks during funeral ceremonies. The idea for the show came from a visit by Bartabas to the temple of Gyuto in India, where Lamaic monks have been trained since their forced exile from Tibet.
